Working with HMV on their store developments, we were asked to look at a combined concept for their Soho reception and boardroom.

A monolithic reception desk of black Corian faces a series of illuminated purple lined pockets cut deep into a cream wall displaying numerous music industry awards. A waiting and coffee area has been raised up and away from the main thoroughfare of the reception area which is marked out by a glazed vertical slat ceiling raft.

Embedded into a timber clad wall at the end of the reception, a series of mini plasma screens are held by a brushed stainless steel band which runs through into the main boardroom where the band has been etched with extracts from famous song lyrics. The timber wall and also the glass ceiling raft run through the boardroom towards a panelled AV wall which conceals a cutting edge audio visual system.
