As part of the redesign of the Virgin Megastore in Oxford Street, we had the opportunity to create an exciting focal point for the store, a place where people from all over the globe could meet, relax and make plans.

The result is Café Beat - a 100 cover café where customers can hook up with fellow travellers, Londoners or friends from wherever, read the magazines, play in an Atari coffee den as well as grab some food and a great cup of coffee. Failing that they can always just clamp on a pair of headphones and listen to great new music.

We also designed the furniture used in the café.
