Redjacket were first invited to work with Dutch department store chain de Bijenkorf to design the new sports department in the Den Haag store. Over the next five years, redjacket and de Bijenkorf have worked on two further projects in Den Haag and on the books and entertainment floor in Amsterdam.

Each project was delivered to a specific brief and covered both interior and graphic design. Redjacket were responsible for designing all furniture items for the effective display and required stock holding in each department. Redjacket worked closely with both de Bijenkorf’s internal project

team and shop fitters who delivered each of the projects onsite, successfully co-operating to ensure delivery was achieved on time and on budget.. During this period an effective and close working relationship develope, with all parties benefitting from the efficiency and opportunities this relationship provided.
