European cafe society with highly contemporary design features. We defined three distinct areas to cater for the way customers use Costa at different times: take-away, a 'stop and linger' area and a relaxed lounge for longer visits. We integrated a witty and effective use of the coffee bean shape into the fabric of

the building. Moulds were prepared to cast concrete beans that were then 'tiled' to an area of internal wall, creating a 3-d reference to Costa's heritage. Warm colours, ambient lighting and modern materials provide the final elements of a contemporary, European-style destination for real coffee lovers.
